Notes:

1. A DIN (metric) to nearest SAE cross-reference is given HERE.

2. Unless otherwise indicated, all information is per SAE specifications.
American Wire gauge, (AWG) is not the same as SAE Wire Gauges.
AW gauge is 6 to 10% larger than SAE gauge. No big deal when you know about it.

3. The GPT, TWP, and HDT wire insulations are all Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) based insulations, and the SXL, GXL, and TXL insulations are Cross-linked Polyethyene, (XLP). XLP is tougher and more temperature resistant, and the PVC is cheaper, typically by about 20%

4.Stranding refers to the number of individual wires in the conductor, and their gauge.
Example: 19/29 means 19 individual wires of 29 gauge make up the 16 gauge conductor.
